********The Gulf Coast Paralegal Association, Inc.(GCPA) was founded in 2007 to promote and present quality continuing legal educational opportunities for local paralegals, to encourage the enrollment of students in paralegal programs, to establish standards for certification and practice guidelines for the paralegal profession in the community and statewide, and to provide a forum for networking among peers.
As an affiliated association of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. (NALA), our primary goal is to uphold the ethical, professional and personal standards set forth by NALA.
GCPA has joined the Florida Alliance of Paralegal Association (www.fapainc.org) which repre-sents approximately 2,000 paralegals throughout the state and uses the collective efforts of its member associations to monitor developments in the legal field that impact paralegals and to provide a unified voice for the advancement of the paralegal profession statewide.
